How long do dimensional, natural highlights last?
Depending on the look, well-done highlights last between 6–12 weeks.
Will highlights damage my hair?
If done correctly and with care, highlights should not damage your hair. Be honest about your hair history and use salon-quality products at home.
How long will my service take?
Highlights take 2–3.5 hours depending on length, thickness, and whether we add lowlights or a base color.
How do I book an appointment?
New guests complete the digital consultation form and receive an email with the recommended service and a direct booking link.
Do I need to come in with clean hair?
Yes — color and lightener work best on clean hair.
What is a shadow root?
A shadow root tones your highlights a shade or two darker at the top 1–2" so the line softens as highlights grow out.
What is the cancellation policy?
Please cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours before your appointment. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged 75% of the service price.
Can I color my hair while pregnant?
Always consult with your doctor, but, yes, it is generally considered safe to color your hair after the first trimester. I use low-ammonia color and can do foil/balayage techniques to keep color off of your scalp.
How long does demi-permanent color last?
About 24–48 shampoos, depending on how often you wash your hair and if you're using the proper shampoo and heat protection at home. Demi-permanent color is a great option for blending grays, toning highlights without lifting your natural color, and adding shine.
My skin stains easily from hair color. What can I do to prevent that?
I always use a barrier cream around the hairline before any base color application. I will also use a color remover wipe around the hairline after the color application, the shampoo, and the blow dry to ensure that no color is left on the skin. If, for some reason, your skin stains from the color, makeup remover wipes or any oil-based skin cleanser typically works to get color off of the skin.
